Dental Outreaches
We organize and finance dental health missions. (Dental Outreach Programs) in poor and remote regions of Uganda. There, we provide free dental care in orphanages, schools, and underserved communities.
Our Local NGO:
These medical missions are especially important to us, as they provide care to people in remote African communities who have little or no access to regular healthcare due to poverty.
Poor dental hygiene and lack of education are the causes of severe dental diseases in some cases. If left untreated, abscesses and infections can develop, leading to life-threatening complications such as sepsis. Additionally, the risk of systemic conditions like cardiovascular problems, diabetes complications, and respiratory infections increases. Food intake can also be affected, as tooth pain or loss makes chewing difficult. In poor regions of Uganda, an imbalanced diet and lack of dental care contribute to particularly poor oral health, as access to dental care and healthy food is often severely limited.
Our Dental Outreaches aim to provide people with free treatment, relieve acute pain, and prevent more serious diseases. Additionally, we educate people on proper oral hygiene and tooth cleaning. We also provide medications and toothbrush kits free of charge.
We operate here as Good Hands Dental Care Africa, our local NGO on the ground.
