Medical Camp in Kalangala – Reaching Remote Fishing Communities

In February 2025, together with Sister Sikolastika from St. Elizabeth Health Center on Kalangala (Ssese Islands, Uganda), a successful Medical Camp The aim was to reach remote fishing communities with essential medical support – places that are often underserved or difficult to access.

Special attention was given to dental services.Two dedicated dentists treated numerous patients who otherwise could not afford to travel to the mainland for care. The camp was supported by the medical team from the health center, which also provided additional medical services and vaccinations.

Thanks to close collaboration on-site and the great commitment of everyone involved, many people were helped easily and free of charge. For many, it was their first visit to a doctor in years.
